This is the gluten-free version of elseware's eco-dough, made in small batches from rice flour, water, salt and food-grade pigment, so a child who reacts to wheat can sit down at the same table as everyone else. It is soft from the first squeeze and stays pliable rather than crumbling, so long as the lid goes back on when a jar is set aside, and the four colors are clean enough that mixing them gives you a real third color instead of gray. Four jars come stacked in a paperboard tube that is sturdy enough to keep for storing the jars afterward, and it recycles when you are done with it.
